Champagne isn’t champagne unless it’s made in Champagne
People have long understood that where a food is produced has a major effect on how it tastes. The Champagne region of France, for example, is famous for its fine sparkling wine. It is considered so special that, under French law, only sparkling wine produced there can be called ‘champagne’.
