Squashed apple skins can be made into shoes
Many shoes are made from leather as it is strong and flexible. But the making leather from animal skins requires chemicals which cause air and water pollution. So some businesses are striding ahead by designing planet-friendly leather alternatives. After making apple juice, leftover apple cores and skins can be squashed and made into a leather-like material.
