Neil Armstrong’s boots are still up on the moon
Before flying back to Earth, the Apollo 11 astronauts dumped everything they no longer needed on the lunar surface. In total, humans have left more than 180,000kg (400,000lbs) of litter on the moon including 12 pairs of space boots – and 100 two-dollar bills.
