Welcome to the World of Usborne: a brand-new website for curious kids and grown-ups

I’m Peter Usborne and I’m 8 years old. Actually, I’m in my eighties now, but thinking like a kid is at the heart of everything we do at Usborne. We make books that spark children’s curiosity: books for all ages and stages, on all sorts of topics, that will help children think differently, see things differently, and grow up into curious big-kids ready to take on the world.

I’m excited to be introducing the brand-new Usborne website, which we have created in the same (slightly obsessive) way that we make all our books, taking our time and meticulously crafting every page. The new Usborne.com is the place to go to find the best information about our books – what’s in them and who made them. I think it showcases what we’re all about: amazing design, the best artwork, brilliant editorial content, and keeping kids at the centre of everything we do.

Usborne Quicklinks brings together the best websites for kids with the best books. For many years, our Quicklinks team has been hand-picking the best of the web to enhance a huge range of our books. Now, for the first time, the Usborne Quicklinks library is part of the same website as the rest of the World of Usborne, allowing us to share it with children, families and schools in new and exciting ways, sparking curiosity for all kinds of fascinating topics. Our love for physical books (that you can put on a shelf, flick through, dip in and out of and read again and again) is strong, but the internet can bring things to life in a powerful way.

Our new and improved Activities for Kids hub is for parents and families. We’ve created loads of free fun stuff to keep your children curious. We know that kids are always growing, changing, developing new interests (and occasionally getting bored of old ones) and that busy parents can find it hard to keep up! We’ll keep adding activities there, so do pop back or sign up to our newsletter for updates.

And the World of Usborne is global! We welcome visitors from around the world and you can browse our books in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese, and shop online.
