Sticker Dolly Dressing author Fiona Watt honoured with Author Platinum Award

The annual Nielsen IQ Bestseller Awards ceremony took place earlier this week, with household names like Ruth Jones, Davina McCall and David Nicholls receiving awards for stellar sales of their bestselling books.

Alongside them was our own Fiona Watt, who was the only author of the evening to be honoured with an Author Platinum Award for UK lifetime sales of over five million copies (in Fiona's case, four times over...).

Fiona has been with Usborne since 1989 and is now Editorial Director. During that time she's written around 500 books for Usborne, which have collectively sold over 20 million copies in the UK alone. She is the sixth biggest-selling UK children’s author since Nielsen IQ records began.

In 2025 alone, Fiona’s books sold 1.29 million copies in the UK, placing her at number 8 in the official UK Top 50 Authors for the year, just behind Rebecca Yarros and J.K. Rowling. She was also the third bestselling children’s author in the UK last year.
