It seems that they have no concept that there might be anything they don't know. Children, chimps and gorillas all have similarly sized brains. Young children ask questions all the time- that's how they learn, for example a child might ask "Where do we get more food?" Chimps and gorillas on the other hand, only ever make statements, such as "Food. You have food. I want food." Scientists wonder if being able to ask questions is what sets human apart from other apes.
