A big parade of colourful costumes
Mardi Gras is a carnival held in cities around the world in February or March. The biggest festivals are in New Orleans (USA) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Mardi Gras means 'Fat Tuesday'. People dress up in amazing costumes and dance, sing, feast and have fun before Lent.
