Usborne’s Sticker Dolly Dressing series gets a K-pop twist

Usborne is celebrating the 20th anniversary, and almost 43 million units of global sales, of its Sticker Dolly Dressing series with a new title that taps into the K-pop trend.

Lesley Sims and illustrator Sandrine Lamour’s Sticker Dolly Dressing: K-pop will be published next month, and already has a combined global print volume of more than 283,900 across all markets, according to the publisher, with 11 translations confirmed and "further deals expected".

Featuring more than 300 stickers and including two pages of foiled stickers, the book follows aspiring pop group B-YU – Yumi, Hana and Gem – as they record their first single, meet fans at a festival and star in a spectacular concert alongside the legendary boys from YC2S, Soomin, Kodi and Milo.

The Sticker Dolly Dressing series has grown to more than 100 titles in its two decades and was conceived by former Usborne publishing director Jenny Tyler and editorial director and author Fiona Watt. With 22.5 million copies sold for £125.7m through NielsenIQ BookScan, Watt is the sixth-bestselling author in the UK since accurate records began, with the Sticker Dolly Dressing range accounting for £32.6m of that total.

"With core values promoting imagination and storytelling, each Sticker Dolly Dressing book provides a gateway into literacy, offering screen-free fun, encouraging creativity and bringing joy," the publisher says.

The 20th Sticker Dolly Dressing anniversary will have an extensive global marketing campaign; in the UK that will include National Rail advertising, "magical" point-of-sale for bookshops and a partnership with the Latitude Festival. At the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2026, the publisher’s stand will be themed to celebrate the series.

Usborne’s head of rights Louise Knight said: "We’re immensely proud of our dollies and hope to continue selling to our existing markets and strive for new markets too."
