Christmas trees were once a celebrity trend
The tradition of indoor Christmas trees began in Germany in the 16th century. It took off in other countries in the 1850s, after magazine articles showed pictures of British monarch, Queen Victoria, with her Christmas tree. Now in the 21st century, more than 100 million households around the world put up a Christmas tree.
