Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be a teacher to become an Independent Usborne Partner?
No. You don't need to be a teacher or work in education to become an Independent Usborne Partner. However, people working in schools – including teaching assistants, librarians, substitute teachers and other school staff – often make great Partners.
Can I become an Independent Usborne Partner while working in a school?
Yes. Whether you're a teaching assistant, librarian, cover supervisor, play worker, school office worker or in another school-based role, you can run your Usborne business alongside your existing job. You decide how much time to dedicate to your business and can fit it around your work and other commitments.
Do I need sales experience?
No. Many Partners join with no previous sales experience. You'll have access to training, tools and support to help you get started and build your business.
Are there ongoing fees?
No. There is a one-off Starter Kit cost, with no recurring subscription required.
Are earnings guaranteed?
Like any business, earnings are not guaranteed. How much you earn depends on the time and effort you choose to invest.
Do I need to recruit other Partners?
No. Many Independent Usborne Partners build successful businesses through selling books alone. If you choose to mentor other Partners in the future, there are additional bonuses available.
