What is an author event?
Usborne Author Events connect children with the writers behind their favourite books, bringing stories to life through engaging workshops, readings, assemblies and Q&As.
They inspire a love of reading and encourage children to develop their own writing voice. Events are available online and in person for KS1 to KS5 and beyond.

We are always keen for inspirational authors to talk to the children – Matt Brown was engaging and funny and managed to maintain the interest of 300 children on a very hot afternoon! He gave a fantastic presentation which included amusing extracts from his books as well as some creative writing tips for the pupils.
