Cursed with eternity, haunted by love - discover the truth about living for ever in this queer enemies-to-lovers romantasy with a magical mystery at its heart, for fans of Juno Dawson and VE Schwab.

Emrys Swift is so dead. 157 years' worth of dead, to be exact. And eternity feels even longer when you're cursed to be seventeen forever, hidden from the world in a magical library, and desperate to remember how you died.

But when ancient spellbooks go missing, Emrys must join forces with annoyingly attractive shapeshifter, Aubrey Vale, to solve the mystery. Which would be fine...if they weren't (im)mortal enemies.

As they tangle with ghosts and battle mermaids, can they outrun the secrets of Emrys's death and Aubrey's life? And is it possible to fall in love when you're already dead?

EV Woods, author of Girls of Dark Divine

A delightful and heartwarming love story, full of queer hope, spooky folklore, mysterious libraries, and giant undead deer. Nightcurse contains quite possibly the cosiest revenants you will ever meet, and also some of the most unnerving. Emma Hinds has crafted a wonderfully vivid world of queer magic and mystery - prepare to be enthralled by the night kin!

Nat Reeve, author of Nettleblack

Nightcurse has it all - a compelling dark academia mystery, an exhilarating journey through the ancient magic, wild landscapes and folklore of Britain, and a moving story about the meaning of belonging, and the potential for love and life even beyond death. An atmospheric, immersive and bewitching read.

Sophie Keetch, author of Morgan Is My Name

What a joy to return to this highly inventive and immersive world. Hinds is a master at melding the historical, supernatural and contemporary: exploring mortality, time, what we choose to make of it and with whom.
