Fact of the week
22 November 2021
Clownfish and sea anemones live together and help each other out.
Living with anemones helps clownfish live for up to 30 years, six times longer than other fish their size. As clownfish dart about, water flows between an anemone’s tentacles, bringing it extra food. And anemones feed on clownfish droppings too! Anemones have stinging tentacles that protect clownfish from predators.
