Sylvia Linsteadt
Sylvia V. Linsteadt lives in a pine forest near the ocean at the edge of California, with mostly deer and foxes for neighbours. When she isn't writing novels, short stories or poems about the lives of wild creatures or the magic of old myths, she likes to wander the hills looking for animal tracks or medicinal herbs. Sylvia is the author of the adult novel Tatterdemalion. The Wild Folk is her first series for young readers.

I savoured every moment of this glorious book! An epic quest in a beautiful, troubled world that mirrors ours yet is utterly unique – full of its own ancient myths, magic and wisdom.
The Wild Folk is both a thrilling tale and song to the natural world, and will resonate deeply with wild, adventurous souls everywhere.
I fell in love with so many of the characters; bold and curious Comfrey, thoughtful and inventive Tin, the wise and playful leverets Myrtle and Mallow, and the vast and awesome diversity of the Wild Folk. I am hugely excited to see what the future holds for them all in book two!
