Kids of 2020 Letter Writing Project
Write a letter to a child in 2030.
Join the Kids of 2020 Letter Writing Project with P.G. Bell's The Train to Impossible Places.
We think letters are wonderful things and in partnership with the Postal Museum and the National Literacy Trust we would like to invite you to join our project for children today to write a letter to a child in 2030.
What was 2020 like for you? What was different? Did you learn new things?
One day the letter you write might help children in the future learn about how coronavirus impacted children today, just like letters from important historical moments many years ago (such as World War I and World War II) tell us what life was like then.
A selection of the letters will be chosen by The Postal Museum to be included in an exhibition, both online and hopefully in real life too!
Scroll down for a resource on how to write your letter. When you have written it, post it to:

or email it to us at [email protected].
Please do not forget to include your parent or guardian’s contact details in case your letter is picked to join The Postal Museum collection and for the Kids of 2020 exhibition.
Deadline for submissions is 4th April, 2021.
In the Train to Impossible Places adventures, Suzy and Wilmot are tasked with delivering all kinds of letters and parcels; from a cursed package for a fearsome sorceress, to a mysterious talking book which is stealing words and causing chaos across the whole of the Impossible Places!
