Masters of Disguise
Many animals have colours and patterns on their bodies to help them blend in with their surroundings. This is called camouflage. Lots of mammals that live in jungles or forests have stripes or spots on their fur. These match the patterns made by sunlight as it streams through the trees. Many animals see in black and white, so a leopard in a tree can be hard for them to see. When its wings are closed, the Leaf butterfly looks like a dry dead leaf. When they're open, you'd never guess it was such a master of disguise!
