Planet Earth should be called Planet Ocean
The name for our planet, in almost every language, is also a word that means ground or soil or just plain dirt. But, if alien explorers visited our planet, it’s the water on its surface that they’d find most remarkable... Our planet’s surface is 71% water and 29% land and 50-80% of our planet’s creatures live in oceans.
