Terns travel so far in their lives they could fly to the Moon and back three times.
Every year, Planet Earth is criss-crossed by the paths of hundreds of species as they embark on migrations. Terns follow the summer, flying at least 30,000km (18,600 miles) south, and then back again – the longest migration in the animal kingdom.
