Furoshiki-wrapped presents are a gift to the planet
An estimated 365,000km (227,000 miles) of wrapping paper are thrown away each Christmas in the UK alone. That’s enough to wrap around Earth’s equator 9 times.
Furoshiki, a traditional Japanese method of wrapping gifts in cloth, provides a planet-friendly alternative.
