Adding numbers to bank notes doesn’t always buy you more
Between 2004 and 2008, an economic crisis in Zimbabwe caused prices to rocket. This is known as hyperinflation. So that people didn’t have to carry around bucketfuls of cash to buy everyday items, the government printed bank notes with much larger number on them.
