After studying History at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, Tony Allan worked for many years with Time-Life Books, serving as Series Editor of the Time-Life History of the World and working as an author and consultant on Myth and Mankind, a 20-volume study of comparative mythology. He has also earned his living as a BBC radio journalist and as a magazine writer, based in Paris. He now lives in West Oxfordshire, where he writes and edits books.
