Songs and nursery rhymes

Here's a selection of well-known songs and actions you can perform while singing them. Encourage your baby to sing along too and copy your actions. It's good exercise for both of you! Scroll down to see the video clips, and some finger action rhymes.

Row, row, row the boat

Sit on the floor and make rowing actions. Watch out for the crocodile at the end!

If you're happy and you know it!

This is a good song to lift everyone's spirits. Don't forget to shout "Hooray" as loud as you can at the end!

Head, shoulders, knees and toes

This is a good rhyme for learning body words - and it's very good exercise too! 

The wheels on the bus

Everyone knows this rhyme and it's always popular - especially if you're on a journey.
