Usborne Key Skills to support school learning

Usborne Key Skills is a new series of wipe-clean books that support and consolidate the English and maths that children learn at school. The series is organised by age, and the activities in each book will build confidence in understanding the maths and written English studied by each age group.

Notes for grown-ups explain the concepts that are presented and practised in each activity. Colourful characters illustrate the laminated pages, which can be wiped clean so children can practise the activities again and again. There are different animals for each age group: woodland animals for 5-6, jungle animals for 6-7 and wildlife park animals for 7-8.

Look out for many more books in this range coming soon, including practice pads and Key Skills science books.

They explain the concepts and rules of maths and English and also provide plenty of practice in calculation, reading and writing. In the back of the books there are answers (for maths books), a glossary (for grammar titles), a quiz (based on SATS tests) and a practice page.
