Series: The "Secret" Series: Book 3
By Pseudonymous Bosch
Cass, Max-Ernest and Yo-Yoji, members of the top-secret Terces Society, are on a mission to track down a cursed Aztec tuning fork that has the power to recreate any flavour its user has ever tasted. But when an evil chef uses the fork to create a deadly chocolate recipe, and tricks Cass and Yo-Yoji into eating it, only Max-Ernest cant save the day.
“A deliciously dark and chocolatey book full of big chunks of crazy humour and a cast of mouth-watering characters.”
The Lancashire Evening Post
Pseudonymous Bosch is a pseudonym, or as he would prefer to call it (because he is very pretentious), a nom de plume. Unfortunately, for reasons he cannot disclose, but which should be obvious to anyone foolhardy enough to read this book, he cannot tell you his real name. But he admits to a deep-seated fear of mayonnaise.

PSEUDONYMOUS BOSCH!!!!!!! You are the best author ever - I've read your whole series and I am the biggest fan ever. I totally love Max-Ernst as he's totally like me. A lot of resemblance of all the characters can be seen around the people who know me. I've read the 5th book of yours and I'm totally in love with it please complete the whole series...
“its simply A-W-E-S-O-M-E”
Man....P.B you rock. I've seriously never felt like reading a whole series. I'm done with 2 parts and read the 1st chapter of the 3rd. I'm willing to complete the series. I love your characters. Especially Max-Ernest, cuz a talky thing n I like that....that doesn't mean that I don't like the others. Cass is pretty cool and Yo-Yoji is a muzic lover like me. Ha! Your enemies are too good (well it's weird to call them good. Keep it up man.....you rock.
“What child could resist it? A deliciously dark and chocolatey book full of big chunks of crazy humour and a cast of mouth-watering characters..."This Book is Not Good for You" is actually very good for you...the teasing, topsy-turvy world created by the scrumptious Mr Bosch is guaranteed to have you laughing all the way to the next instalment.”
Lancashire Evening Post
“With an evil dessert chef, a secret jungle lair inhabited by cocoa-crazed monkeys, and the most dangerous chocolate ever created, one thing’s for sure – they’ve certainly got their work cut out for them!”
National Geographic Kids
“There is no doubting the educational interest of much of this material, while the context should engage the reader with its air of complicity in eating chocolate as much as in unravelling The Secret. In character terms, the children’s backgrounds are described in a graphic, even hyperbolic, way, yet still demonstrate real problems faced by young people… overall this is an entertaining, enlightening and enhancing read which should appeal to a wide age-range.”
