The Book Bag book reviews website
“This book isn't as pink and glittery as I expected from the cover. It's an adventure quest where Molly, a girl who secretly turns into a mermaid and drops into a magical world, helps save ocean creatures from the Dark Queen using special powers granted to her by a pendant. The characters in the book are well drawn; particularly Molly, whose bravery prevents disaster. It's a great story (I loved the pendant with its sea-creature powers). I think a hungry 7+ girl reader would devour it. This is a story for readers already growing in confidence, supported by plenty of illustrations that nicely complement the narrative.”
