I highly recommend this book. My mum gave me the first edition of this book when I was 7, and now at the grand old age of 30 this book still sits on my kitchen shelf and is still used often. It's not that I can't cook, I can, but the recipes are good and it's great for me to refer back to when I'm in a hurry. It's nice and simple and sometimes just what you need.
“This was my first cookery book”
When I was younger, my godfather (who trained as a chef with my dad) gave me this book for my birthday. Needless to say I've made nearly all the recipes in here, becoming more able to do more of the recipes. I still use some of the recipes. I do hate when people sing praises for things, but this book was fantastic and if nothing's changed in the new edition, then it's perfect for all kids.
