“badly reinforces gender stereotypes”
My daughter loves the Eggs and Chicks book, and as she also loves looking at aeroplanes I bought her this as well. I was very disappointed to see that (although there is a female air traffic controller) the main aircraft illustrated features two pilots, both male. What a missed opportunity, and no way to set an example for her. In the bin it goes I'm afraid. Usborne, please can you update this book (which you first published in the 21st century) for the 21st century?
It is good because I like airplanes and it teaches you how an airplane takes off and lands! It is a good book you should read it!
